“I feel very welcomed by the teachers, which makes me relaxed and happy. I believe I'm the oldest student — but when I dance I forget my age and just enjoy it.”

“I'm a guy who once joked about having two left feet — and I can now dance the tango! If I can master those steps, trust me, you can too.”

Your questions, answered

Do I need a dance partner?

It depends which class you choose. The two Couples classes (Beginner and Improver) are for you and a partner. Coming on your own? The Come Solo class — followers' routine — is made for you: no partner, and no pressure to dance with anyone. (Arriving solo as a leader? Just drop us a line and we'll sort you a place.)

I've truly never danced. Will I keep up?

Yes. The beginner class assumes you've never taken a single step. We go slowly, kindly, and you'll be moving to the music within the first half hour.

I'm not as fit as I used to be — is that a problem?

Argentine Tango is walked, not jumped. It's gentle, low-impact and entirely at your own pace. Sit down for a cup of tea whenever you wish.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable you can move in, and smooth-soled shoes (no chunky rubber). We'll send full details when you book.

How long is each masterclass, and what does it cost?

The couples masterclasses run 90 minutes; the Come Solo class is one hour. Early-bird is £49 per person — a couples class is £98 a pair (charged for two), and the standalone Come Solo class is £49. Standard price £59 from 1 September. Followers in a couples class can add the Come Solo class for just +£39.

What if I can't make it?

Plans change — we offer a full transfer to another date, or a refund up to 14 days before.
